Project
The Gardener's Canal Development Project is part of AFD's investment activities in the city of N'Djamena which concerns the drainage of rainwater from the neighbourhoods bordering the Gardener's marigot (150,000 inhabitants) as well as the rehabilitation and urban and landscape integration of these cities.
The technical characteristics of the project are as follows:
- Diagnosis of the drainage network of the study area: main marigot (10 km) and network of existing collectors (40 km)
- Dimensioning, calibration and modelling of the drainage system for different scenarios
- Optimisation of urban spaces on the banks of the marigot and design of urban and landscape solutions
